Who We Are

Little Heritage Enrichment Center began in 1999 with a summer program that quickly reached the community and church related students. In the fall of 2000, we began inquiring about a preschool program that would ultimately develop into a school for students in the Nutbush community of Memphis. A grant through the State of Tennessee Department of Education gave us a guide to become a 3 Star entity through the Department of Human Services. In September of 2001, we opened our doors as a preschool non-profit program. It wasn’t long before we added infants through toddlers as it remains today.

Vision and Mission

The vision of our school has always been to offer educational excellence and change generations of families through education and hands on experience. Serving our community is one way of putting education into action!

As our school continues to grow through many challenges we are focused on the end goal. Students learn to develop into Christian leaders, incorporating what they learn in ministry and school, welcoming this integration into local communities through community based programs.

Memphis Heritage Christian School exist to provide Christian education and experience to students and families. Currently, Memphis Heritage Christian School serves Infants through PreK4 through Little Heritage Enrichment Center, our founding school. Elementary and Middle Schools students are served through Memphis Heritage Christian School. Our high school students, incoming 2019-2020, are served through Faith Memphis International School, where students must complete a project in another country prior to graduation. Finally, parents and adults obtain their GED and career education and placement through Memphis Heritage Adult Ed and families are provided with life skills and opportunities for family entertainment through the Black Parent Institute.

Our Programs

As our preschool students reached school age, we opened our first Kindergarten program in 2004-2005. Shortly after, we raised our grade offering to 8th grade, serving students of varying income demographics and religious backgrounds.
