Statements of Understanding
Memphis-Heritage Christian School

I am much afraid that schools will prove to be great gates of hell i nless they dilligently labor explaining the Holy Scriptures, engraving them in the hearts of youlth. I advise no one to place his child where the Scriptures do not reign paramount. Every institution in which men are not increasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt." -Martin Luther

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in Three Person; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sir, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.

We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in piayer.

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated live in this present world.

We believe in the Deity, Virgin Birth, Vicarious Death, Physical Resurrection, Ascension, and personal return in glory of the Lord Jesus.

We believe in the Personality, Deity and Work of the Holy Spirit We believe in the personality of Satan.

We believe in the Great Scriptural Doctrines of Sin, salvation by Grace, Redemption, Regeneration, and Justification by Faith, Prayer, Physical Resurrection, the Reward of Believers and Retribution of Unbelievers.
I/We have read and affirm the beliefs outlined in the doctr nal statement realizing that they are based on the truth of Scripture and are foundational to Memphis- Heritage Christian School.
